HI MY NAME IS MARK

Since 2016, I’ve worked with Hi My Name Is Mark, the apparel brand founded by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182. What began as a single project evolved into an ongoing creative partnership spanning nearly a decade. Across dozens of official releases, I’ve developed graphics that expand on the brand’s identity while maintaining its instantly recognizable core.

Most collections are built around the signature octopus mark, a defined visual anchor that challenges each release to evolve without losing cohesion. With only a few exceptions, every design reinterprets the same subject through new tone, structure, and storytelling approaches. The goal is constant variation while preserving brand consistency.

One of the strengths of apparel design is its flexibility. Graphics can be stretched, deconstructed, distorted, or rebuilt entirely. Over the years creating for HMNIM, I’ve produced designs using photographed cut fabric, photocopy distortion, 3D construction, loose sketch work, block print techniques, and precise vector illustration. Whether executed by hand or digitally in Adobe Illustrator, each collection balances experimentation with production-ready execution.

At the time of writing, I’ve created over 30 officially released t-shirt designs, with additional concepts continually in development. Many of these graphics have been worn on stage in front of millions of fans worldwide and extended into other merchandise formats beyond apparel.

At the time of writing, I’ve created just over 30 t-shirt designs that have been officially released. There are always a handful awaiting launch, along with others that never made it past the concept stage.

Some designs even make it onto other merchandise.
